Tim Reynolds’ TR3 Preview Forthcoming LP with Titular Single “Watch It”

TR3, the project featuring Dave Matthews Band’s Tim Reynolds with Mick Vaughn and Dan Martier, has shared the first listen of their impending studio album, Watch It, due on January 19, sharing the title track, an expressive instrumental that flaunts the prowess of the trio, evoking a sense of experimentation with builds in peaks and valleys centered around masterful guitar work. 

Watch It arrives on the heels of TR3’s 2019 studio album, The Sea Versus the Mountain, and 2022 live release, Wild in the Sky, and expands upon the ensemble’s ability to produce unequivocal craftsmanship steeped in a deep-rooted chemistry and connectedness that the group locked into in 2007 with the solidification of the current lineup.

The impending release was recorded at Haunted Hallow, Dave Matthews Band’s private studio in Charlottesville, Va. DMB chief engineer/studio manager Rob Evans produced the set, which features 10 mostly-instrumental numbers: a prominent tapestry of funk, jazz and rock varieties. 

In addition to new music, TR3 recently dropped a slew of dates in support of their latest endeavor, sharing they will spend much of mid to late January on the road and visiting East Coast cities before a string of Midwest dates, which culminate in a close on Feb. 3 at City Winery in St. Louis.
