Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, the prominent Grateful Dead cover band featuring namesake and bandleader, Joe Russo, Dave Dreiwitz, Scott Metzger, Marco Benevento, and Tom Hamilton, has extended their touring endeavors into the fall. The band has shared a short series of early October dates that will take them to the Midwest, before following up at the end of the month on the other side of the country, in the Golden State.

According to the band’s schedule, after wrapping already-announced appearances on Sept. 11 at MGM Music Hall in Boston, and a two-night follow-up at New York’s Rooftop at Pier 17, Sept. 12 and 13, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead will proceed with a pick up of newly added dates, beginning on October 3 at The Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, Wis. The band will continue with a pair of ensuing regional concerts: October 4 at Chicago’s Salt Shed and the next night at the Palace Theater in Saint Paul, Minn.

The band will proceed to the West Coast for their next series of live dates, which begin on October 23, at Channel 24 in Sacramento, Calif., before taking the stage at the golden Buddha-clad Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif. Their final Golden Gate gig will arrive on October 25, at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre. Notably, the band’s 2025 California return follows a similar path to last year’s visit by charting the same venues and locations.
