Northeast Party House have broken the news that they are planning to end the band in 2025, after 16 years together and four studio albums released. The Melbourne dance-punk band’s impending split, however, does come with news of a final tour of major capital cities across October and November of 2025. The full list of these, as well as ticketing information, can be found below.

“From the very beginning, our dream was to make shows feel like house parties with friends,” the band said in a statement shared to their social media. “We never imagined that party would last 15 years. A triple j Unearthed win kicked it all off in 2010, and since then we’ve played dream gigs — from multiple Forums, Falls Festivals and Splendour In The Grass, to shows across the US, Europe, New Zealand and Indonesia. But just as memorable were the floor-sleeps, freeway breakdowns, and the top-tier tour diet of servo dim sims. It’s been a wild, lucky, beautiful ride.”

Joining the band for all five shows will be Australian born and LA-based DJ Benson, who recently released a new collaborative single with American DJ VNSSA entitled ‘Shiny Disco Balls’. His most recent studio album, Too Short For Death, was released back in October of 2024.

Forming in 2009 and holding the same line-up throughout their entire career, Northeast Party House released their self-titled debut EP in 2011. Their debut album, Any Given Weekend, followed in 2014; this was followed by Dare in 2016, Shelf Life in 2020 and their final album Enhancer in May 2024. Shelf Life was nominated for an ARIA Award for Best Dance release at the 2020 ceremony, while the band also achieved a Platinum certification from ARIA for their 2017 single ‘Calypso Beach’.

“To our fans, friends, and families — your support has meant everything,” the band’s statement concluded. “You’ve been with us since our first street party gigs, the unhinged I Oh You warehouse parties, opening Pyramid Rock, closing the dance tent at Falls Festival and everywhere since. You’ve given us stories, joy, and memories we’ll hold for life.”
