Cleveland, Ohio is set to celebrate homegrown artist Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) with an immersive weekend recognizing his musical impact and philanthropic work.
From August 8-10, 2025, the third-annual MGK Day will bring together fans, community leaders, and music industry professionals for events spotlighting unity, creativity, and local pride. This year’s festivities arrive alongside the release of MGK’s latest studio album, lost americana, amplifying the celebratory spirit throughout the city.
MGK Day kicks off today with XX-Con at Jacobs Pavilion. Tickets for the launch event have already sold out. Attendees will experience special reveals, an acoustic MGK performance, a DJ set from Emo Night Brooklyn, and a celebration of MGK’s lost americana album.
Saturday’s schedule is packed, beginning with Now That’s What I Call Brunch at 27 Club Coffee. The day continues with Street League Skateboarding’s Cleveland Takeover at North Coast Yard, featuring high-caliber skating talent. As evening falls, fans can join Tickets to My Bar Crawl, a city-wide party celebrating MGK’s latest album release. Multiple venues across West 6th and the Flats, including Rumor, Inferno, Dive Bar, and Sora will participate.
Sunday’s program embraces a broader community focus, starting the day with the City Ride with Harley Davidson. The free, all ages street festival, MGK Day Community and Arts Festival at Mall C will run from 2 pm to 9 pm, offering live performances, art installations, and vendor booths.
This city-sanctioned festival, formally proclaimed as Machine Gun Kelly Day by Mayor Justin Bibb in 2022, is designed to “raise awareness and support for various charitable causes and brings the community together for music, food, and fun.” Partnerships with local nonprofits, including the Lost Poets Society, further the goal of empowering underserved families and youth through arts and wellness.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is also participating. Fans can visit an exclusive lost americana-themed merchandise pop-up store at the museum, which is enabling free entry from Thursday through Saturday. Unique MGK artifacts are featured in the museum’s “Right Here, Right Now” exhibit. Live music and other fan-oriented activations will accompany the main events.
MGK’s roots in Cleveland run deep, underscored by his 2022 concert at Huntington Bank Field, where he became the first Ohio native to sell out the stadium to more than 50,000 fans. As the city rallies for MGK Day 2025, organizers frame the festival as both a cultural touchstone and an expression of “the transformative power of creativity and compassion.”
