Helena. is the latest signing to Perfect Pitch Publishing.

The Western Australia-based indie rock is now represented by PPP for publishing on a global basis.

Growing up in the Perth Hills, childhood mates Amos Staer, Nathan Wells, Josh Van Zuylen and Aaron Wells formed Helena. in early 2021.

Ever since, their story has grown fast off the back of energetic live performances, emotive songwriting, and a sound that melds rock anthems, with pop punk and harmonies.

A breakthrough proper came at the 2025 WAM Awards in June where they collected the grand prize, Song of the Year, with their number “P’s Get Degrees,” and doubled up with the Punk/Hardcore category.

“With each performance,” noted WAM following the ceremony, “they deliver catchy tunes that undoubtedly make you move and leave you with a lasting impression.”

The band was nominated at the 2024 WAM Awards in the Punk/Hardcore category for “Happening to Me”.

“There’s something very powerful about the energy that music creates, and Helena. has embodied that in their recordings and live performance,” comments Clive Hodson, Perth-based Managing Director of Perfect Pitch Publishing.

PPP has been on a tear of late.

In recent months, the music publisher has struck a global licensing agreement with David Beniuk and David Challenger, the creative force behind The Summertimes; struck a licensing agreement to represent Leah Flanagan, the celebrated singer-songwriter and arts administrator; signed David Leha (aka Radical Son) on a worldwide basis; and penned a global licensing agreement with Reuben De Melo, the indie-folk singer-songwriter and winner of The Voice Australia 2024.
