WME signs Colombia-born singer-songwriter Maluma in all areas, including an expansion to his athletic wear brand.

Maluma has signed with WME in all areas, the company announced on Monday, August 18. The signing comes just a month after the Colombian singer-songwriter parted ways with longtime manager Walter Kolm.

“I’m excited to be joining the team at WME! I’m just getting started and am looking forward to working alongside them in building this next chapter of my career,” said the 31-year-old artist. “The sky is the limit, and I feel energized to be surrounded by a team that understands and believes in my vision.”

Maluma has had 24 #1 hits on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, and has the honor of being the youngest artist to simultaneously hold both the top spots on that chart. Most recently, he released the first singles from his latest album, +Pretty +Dirty. In 2024, his album Don Juan earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Pop Album. He also paused a recent concert to scold a mother who brought her baby to his concert with no earplugs.

Beyond his musical career, Maluma made his acting debut alongside Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson in Marry Me. He also lent his voice to the animated Disney film Encanto.

Last year, he launched his athletic wear brand, Remanence, with a fashion show in Medellin. Maluma is the owner and creative director of the line and has focused on the importance of eco-friendly fashion practices. All of his clothing has been designed entirely in Colombia using renewable energy.

His work in the fashion industry has earned him the Menswear Icon in the Making and Fashion’s Newest Male Muse titles by Vogue, and he was one of GQ’s Men of the Year. Maluma has also dipped his toe into the premium spirits game with the co-ownership of the brand Contraluz, offering a range of premium Mezcal and Tequilas made in Mexico.

Through his Medellin-based foundation, El Arte de Los Sueños, the musician is focused on transforming the lives of at-risk youth through art and music education.
