Sydney’s The Dead Love Announce 2026 Reunion Tour Dates
Sydney’s beloved “shitty grunge” trio The Dead Love have risen from the grave, announcing their official reunion with a run of shows this January. After farewelling fans in 2023, the cult grunge-punk faves are back to remind us why they were one of Australia’s most ferocious underground bands.
The Back From The Dead Love Tour will kick off in January 2026, with The Dead Love hitting four cities across the country. They’ll get things started in Adelaide at Ed Castle on Friday 16 January, before heading north to Brisbane’s Black Bear Lodge on Saturday 17 January. The chaos continues the following weekend with Melbourne’s Bergy Bandroom on Friday 23 January, before wrapping things up at home in Sydney with a huge hometown show at the Lansdowne on Saturday 24 January.
The Dead Love – ‘Small Talk’
Formed in 2010, the band carved a niche with raw riffs, DIY grit and sing-it-like-you-mean-it emotion, winning over crowds both at home and abroad. Along the way they dropped three albums (So Whatever, The Extinction of Unicorns and The Dead Love), scored triple j rotation, playlist love, and festival slots, and shared stages with the likes of Grinspoon, DZ Deathrays and Stand Atlantic. Even as parts of the industry slept on them, the trio built a loyal global fanbase on their own terms.
Now, after a period of reflection, frontman Stevie Knight says the fire is back: “We’ve had time to breathe, to grow, and to remember why we started this in the first place. This tour is for everyone who ever supported us – and just because we fkn love doing it!”
