On Tuesday evening, Billy Strings disclosed details about his imminent Halloween concert, set for Friday, October 31, 2025, at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore. Keeping with tradition, the event will lean into theatrics, only this time, the ensemble will evoke a Universal Monsters theme, titled “Meet Me at the Crypt,” as a nod to the band’s Turmoil & Tinfoil classic, “Meet Me at the Creek.” Special guests, including members of Leftover Salmon and more, have also been added to the bill, taking the night’s guest slots.

During the “Meet Me at the Crypt” concert, each member of the band will embody a different character, or, in this case, monsters, from Universal’s bank of horror classics. The group’s namesake will dress as The Wolf Man, and his band will also take on characters including Alex Hargraves as The Mummy, Royal Masat as Dracula, Jarrod Walker as Frankenstein, and Billy Failing as his beautiful wife-to-be, the Bride of Frankenstein.

The event will feature special guests, including Cory Henry, as well as members of Leftover Salmon: Alwyn Robinson, Vince Herman, Greg Garrison, Andy Thorn, Drew Emmitt, and Jay Starling. Also on the bill and contributing to the night’s musical component are Adele Stein, Celia Hatton and Adriana Molello, nicknamed The Charm City Coven for the occasion.

Previously in 2024, Strings took inspiration from the Coen brothers’ 2000 classic, O Brother, Where Art Thou? Evoking his own twist on the theme, through his own title, O Billy, Where Art Thou? Read about Halloween 2024 here.

After sharing details about his forthcoming Halloween spectacular, Strings continued his European Fall Tour by delivering his third concert on the regional schedule, at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht, Netherlands. The night relied on originals more than covers, beginning with “Secrets,” which sank into traditional, “Dusty Miller,” without stopping. They picked up the same pattern after “Doin’ Things Right,” by positioning “Be Your Man” as the first in a sequence that went on to include “Taking Water.”

Another trickle of originals took the group to the last minutes of the first set, where they turned out covers, Bill Monroe’s “Blue Grass Breakdown” and Bad Livers released “Lumpy, Beanpole & Dirt.” On their return to the stage for the evening’s second half, only three players arrived: Strings with the clawhammer banjo, Walker on guitar and Heargraves on fiddle. The trio gathered around a single microphone and played the Me/ And/ Dad feature, “Frosty Morn,” and the traditional “Crawdad Hole.”

Walker and Heargraves left Strings to deliver his own “Catch and Release” by himself, before a full band return on the classic, “Sally Goodin,” which merged into the Renewal cut, “Know It All.” The last part of the night pulsed with the typical mix of material, with one thoughtful note; rather than deliver a proper encore, the band ended the night with “Meet Me at the Creek,” drawing a connection between their latest live appearance and the news of their Halloween theme.

Next, Strings and his band will return to the TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht, Netherlands, for their second and final sold-out performance on this stage.
