Netflix and Spotify announce a new partnership to deliver a curated selection of Spotify’s video podcasts on Netflix.

Netflix has inked a deal with Spotify to bring a select number of video podcasts from Spotify to Netflix’s platform, which will begin next year. Initial titles include “The Bill Simmons Podcast,” “The Zach Lowe Show,” “The McShay Show,” “The Rewatchables,” “Conspiracy Theories,” and more.

These video podcasts will be available on Netflix in the U.S. in early 2026, with other markets to follow. More titles will also be available on the platform as the partnership continues.

“At Netflix, we’re always looking for new ways to entertain our members, wherever and however they want to watch,” said Lauren Smith, Netflix VP of Content Licensing and Programming Strategy.

“As video podcasts continue to grow in popularity, our partnership with Spotify allows us to bring full video versions of these top shows to both Netflix and Spotify audiences. From pop culture and lifestyle to true crime and sports, this curated selection of video podcasts adds fresh voices and new perspectives to Netflix, making our entertainment lineup more exciting than ever.”

“This partnership marks a new chapter for podcasting,” said Roman Wasenmüller, VP, Head of Podcasts at Spotify. “Together with Netflix, we’re expanding discovery, helping creators reach new audiences and giving fans around the world the chance to experience the stories they love and uncover favorites they never expected. This offers more choice to creators and unlocks a completely new distribution opportunity.”

The companies’ partnership comes amid an explosion of video podcasts, with YouTube ranking as the most popular platform to consume them. According to a study from Cumulus Media, cited by Netflix, 72% of podcast listeners polled said they prefer shows with video.

Netflix floated the idea of bringing video podcasts to the platform earlier this year, as the company’s co-CEO Ted Sarandos said that Netflix is “constantly looking at all different types of content and content creators” to feature on the platform. YouTube is notably a major competitor.

Spotify also recently announced a deal with ChatGPT to allow users to receive personalized music and podcast recommendations after they link their Spotify account to ChatGPT.
