Oteil Burbridge to Celebrate New Year’s Eve with Dead & Company Bandmate Jeff Chimenti and Others in Fort Lauderdale

Bassist Oteil Burbridge has extended an invitation to join him on New Year’s Eve in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The musician known for his late-90s to mid-2010s tenure as a full-time member of the Allman Brothers Band and current stint with the modern celebration of the Grateful Dead’s music, in Dead and Company, will take a group of choice player to The Parker on Dec. 31, for a night of songs to enter the New Year. 

Currently, Burbridge’s live schedule is relatively light, following Dead & Company’s mega concert–pulling upwards of 180,000 fans over three days–at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park back in August. While Burbridge is currently exploring Egypt, he’s expected back in the State on Friday, November 14, 2025, to participate in fundraising efforts for educational scholarships at Tulane University during the annual Tipping Point concerts at the Orpheum Theater in New Orleans. 

Burbridge’s next engagement will be the New Year’s Eve performance in the Sunshine State, featuring his Dead & Company bandmate Jeff Chimenti, and frequent collaborators in his “& Friends” lineup, such as Lamar Williams Jr., Tom Guarna, Johnny Kimock, Jason Crosby, and Jaden Lehman. The group will revive choice covers spanning the Dead, Allman Brothers Band, and JGB songbooks, as well as originals that showcase the bandleader’s dexterity.
