Lighthouse Rock has confirmed a new date and lineup for 2026, after quietly postponing this year’s event.

Returning to Queensland’s Burnett Heads on Saturday, May 23rd, the festival will be headlined by the one and only Jimmy Barnes.

The all-ages festival is the perfect fit for fans of traditional Aussie rock and roll. Its previous events in 2022 and 2023 were highly successful, having sold out.

All tickets previously held for the 2025 edition will be valid for the new date. Tickets will be available from 10am (AEST) on Wednesday, November 26th — see here. Tickets for kids aged 11-17 are half price, while kids under 10 are free.

Joining Barnesy on the bill are some of Australia’s most iconic musical names, including Birds of Tokyo, Mental as Anything (with original members celebrating their 50th year), Richard Clapton, Ross Wilson, The Superjesus, Tom Busby, and Salt & Steel. Plus, the winner of Triple M’s Battle of the Bands competition will get a slot.

Local bands, solo artists, duos, trios, and everything in between are encouraged to enter the competition for the chance to perform in front of 5000+ music fans. Full entry details will be available shortly — see here.

“It’s great to be heading to Bundaberg again for Lighthouse Rock! The band and I are looking forward to sharing the stage with our mates from Birds of Tokyo, the Mentals, Richard, Ross, The Superjesus and Tom,” Barnesy said. “Look out Bundy, we’re coming to rock!”

As well as the epic main stage line up, Lighthouse Rock 2026 will include a local music stage featuring some of the Bundaberg region’s finest up-and-coming artists with Mark Lavender, Keely Ellen, Nathan Bedford, Phoebe Jay, and Matt Black all confirmed to perform.

“The wait is over, and we are so excited to announce this epic lineup for Lighthouse Rock and bringing back the biggest name in Australian rock history, Jimmy Barnes, back to Burnett Heads,” said Lighthouse Presents’ Gavin Hales. “The addition of Mental as Anything and so many more local acts makes this such a stacked festival that we are certainly proud to showcase.”

Wholly committed to impacting positive change, Lighthouse Rock is supporting local charity initiatives to increase exposure and funding to the Bundaberg region, including the Great Barrier Reef Legacy and the Living Coral Biobank Project initiative. It is also again supporting the work of the Sea Turtle Alliance.
