The Weeknd Now Has the Highest-Grossing Male Solo Tour Ever

The Weeknd’s now officially has highest-grossing tour by a male solo artist in history.

As per Rolling Stone, the ‘After Hours Til Dawn’ tour has crossed the billion-dollar milestone after Live Nation announced new dates for 2026.

The tour, which commenced in 2022, achieved this record-breaking feat following ticket sales for upcoming shows across Mexico, Brazil, Europe, and the UK. The massive undertaking has sold over 7.5 million tickets across multiple continents, covering North America twice, Europe, the UK, Latin America, and Australia.

“The Weeknd continues to redefine what it means to be a global touring artist,” stated Omar Al-joulani, Live Nation’s president of touring. “Crossing the billion-dollar mark is a testament to his staying power and the incredible demand for his live show. Year after year, he sells out stadiums around the world, and the ‘After Hours ‘Til Dawn’ tour now stands as one of the biggest of all time — a true reflection of his artistry and impact.”

The tour’s journey hasn’t been without challenges. In September 2022, disaster nearly struck during a performance at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium when The Weeknd lost his voice mid-set. The Canadian artist personally addressed the crowd, explaining, “This is killing me, I don’t want to stop the show, but I can’t give you the concert I want to give you.” Despite this setback, he recovered and continued the tour successfully.

The record-breaking achievement places The Weeknd alongside music industry titans, demonstrating the enduring appeal of his atmospheric R&B sound and elaborate stage productions. The tour’s success spans diverse markets, from packed stadiums in North America to sold-out arenas across Europe and Australia.

Beyond commercial success, The Weeknd is using the tour’s proceeds for charitable purposes. Through partnerships with Global Citizen and the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, plus collaboration with the United Nations World Food Programme, he’s directing funds to the XO Humanitarian fund. €1 from each European ticket, £1 from UK tickets, and $1 equivalent from Mexican and Brazilian sales will benefit these organisations.
