Catalog investors’ dance and electronic buying spree isn’t finished yet: Armada Music has finalized a song-rights partnership with London-born singer and DJ Sonique.

An Armada rep reached out with word of the agreement, attributing the transaction to the dance label itself as opposed to the BEAT Music Fund. Furthermore, with the formal announcement focusing mainly on top-level details, the same rep described the deal as an acquisition.

Beyond this confirmation, the parties opted against shedding light on the IP’s price tag. But Armada did point to its possessing the “worldwide rights to Sonique’s entire catalog.”

Said catalog includes 1998’s “It Feels So Good” and 2000’s “Sky,” the former of which has racked up north of 300 million Spotify streams across its many versions.

(In a battle of overlapping names, Sonique the DJ has outlasted Sonique the audio player, which, some may recall, rose to prominence at roughly the same time as “It Feels So Good” burst onto the scene. It probably goes without saying that the player has long been without official support. However, nostalgic netizens have seemingly found a way to keep on using the decades-old software.)

And overall, Sonique, who performed at Glastonbury last year but canceled a planned tour in September 2025, has released four studio albums and a number of singles during her decades-running career.

Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, Armada intends “to amplify the legacy of Sonique’s iconic catalog.” Those efforts will encompass “high-impact re-issues and fresh remixes from some of electronic music’s most influential producers,” according to the company, which last month launched NBT Records with Simon Dunmore.

In a statement, Armada Music Group co-founder and CEO Maykel Piron elaborated on plans to bring Sonique’s music to “a new generation of fans.”

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Sonique’s phenomenal catalog to the Armada Music family,” the exec said. “Her music has left an indelible mark on dance culture, and we are committed to nurturing and elevating her legacy for a new generation of fans while continuing to engage her dedicated base worldwide.

“This long-term partnership reflects our belief in the enduring power and potential of her incredible body of work,” concluded Piron, who also heads the aforementioned BEAT.

Meanwhile, the former S’Express member Sonique described the Armada agreement as “the perfect next step.”

“It’s a chance to honor the songs and moments that shaped my career while also opening the door to new music,” Sonique continued. “I’m proud to have a label with such a powerful dance heritage supporting both my catalogue and my future, and I feel energized, inspired, and ready for what’s ahead.”

Earlier this week, Dynamite Songs purchased “the publishing and recording rights to” Tieks’ and Dan Harkna’s “Sunshine.” Separately, Circuit Group and Create Music launched a $500 million fund to acquire electronic IP, labels, and more.
