Guster’s Ryan Miller to Join Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth and Dave “Zamboni” Schneider for CTGB Night This Sunday

Guster’s Ryan Miller has joined the lineup for the annual CTGB event at Fairfield, CT’s FTC Warehouse this Sunday, December 28. A celebration of CBGB, the evening will be hosted by Dave “Zamboni” Schneider and feature a special appearance by two musicians with a deep ties to the famed punk-rock incubator, Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads / Tom Tom Club). Miller, who often covers Talking Heads’ “(Nothing But) Flowers” with Guster, is confirmed to perform three songs and Schneider will also appear with his long-running band The Zambonis.

A description of the event explains, “Where did Punk and New Wave begin? CBGB’s! This night will celebrate the music that made history out of the dingy iconic club including songs by Talking Heads, Ramones, Blondie, Television, Patti Smith, B-52’s, Dead Boys and so much more.”

Several others performers will take part in the celebration: John Pioli, Chris Cavaliere, Kenny Owens and Alex Swift will serve as the evening’s house band, noted music journalist Rob Tannebaum will sing a few songs and vocalists Hazel Foley, Liz Ashkins, Mareesa Bloom, Greg Poore and Matt Smith will take the stage during the night. Frantz and Weymouth, the musical couple who co-founded both Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club, are longtime area residents.
