LISTEN: ‘Coil’, The Latest Beautiful Track From Converge’s Collaborative Album ‘Bloodmoon: I’

Another extraordinary piece of this incredible collaborative project.

Converge are gearing up to release ‘Bloodmoon: I’, the first recorded output from their special collaborative project with Chelsea WolfeCave In/Mutoid Man’s Stephen Brodsky and Ben Chisholm.

And they have released another taste of what is set to be an extraordinary sonic experience.

The track is called ‘Coil’ and builds from delicate guitar work and gentle vocal purrs to all-consuming barrages of noise across its expansive six-minute runtime.

Vocalist Jacob Bannon had this to say about about it:

“’Coil’ turned out to be one of my favorite songs I’ve ever been a part of. There is an infectious slow build that ends up becoming theatrical in tone. Lyrically it was a true collaboration, with all of us expanding on each other’s ideas as they came to be. I believe Chelsea’s vocal was the starting point in that for this one. Kurt really pushed vocal harmonies to a new level as well. Encouraging many of Steve’s ideas while we were in the studio tracking together. This one really has every one of us firing on all cylinders creatively.”

It’s lavish, dark, compelling, unpredictable, and waiting for you to listen to below:

‘Bloodmoon: I’ is set to arrive on November 19 via Epitaph.
