Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, My Morning Jacket Set To Headline 2022 Shaky Knees Festival

The Shaky Knees Festival just unveiled its lineup and schedule, set for April 29 to May 1 at Atlanta’s Central Park next year.

The annual fest is bringing in an eclectic string of performing artists, garnering the likes of Billy Idol, Chvrches, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Death Cab For Cutie, Spoon and many more. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. ET tomorrow, November 11, on the festival’s website, where three-day and one-day general admission, GA+, VIP and platinum tickets will be available.

Founded in 2013 by Tim Sweetwood to bring in the sounds of indie artists to the music capitol of Atlanta, this is the fests’ seventh year, as it was canceled in 2020 in light of the pandemic. The festival’s name comes from My Morning Jacket’s “Steam Engine,” in which Sweetwood himself is a fan, making for a fitting choice as one of this year’s headliners.

For the 2015 festival, it was officially moved to Atlanta’s Central Park, and after a two-year stint at the town’s Centennial Olympic Park, it returned to Central Park for the last few years. It has built two sister festivals, Shaky Boots and Shaky Beats, to incorporate various genres.
