Jonah Hill to Play Jerry Garcia in Martin Scorsese’s Upcoming Grateful Dead Biopic

A brand new Grateful Dead biopic is on the horizon, with some Hollywood royalty at the helm.

Martin Scorsese is set to direct the yet-to-be-titled project, with actor/writer Jonah Hill signing on to produce and play Jerry Garcia himself.

According to Deadline, “its unknown what will be covered in the film,” however, Scorsese is a known Dead archivist, executive producing the acclaimed, comprehensive Long Strange Trip docuseries in 2017.

Grateful Dead family members Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Trixie Garcia have also signed on as as executive producers.
