WATCH: DUNE RATS’ Incredibly Joyous Video For Their Irresistible New Track ‘UP’

Who’s up for a bit of choreography?

DUNE RATS have returned with a new track and continue to strive to put a smile on that lovely face of yours.

The song is called ‘UP’ and finds the band in a jubilant mood with the sort of punk rock joy that you can only get from leaving it out in the sun for a bit.

But it was created in a completely different environment to that, as the band explain:

“‘UP’ was written on the far South Coast of Australia in a small town called Eden. It was bloody freezing at the time, so it felt necessary to write a summer tune.”

“We ended up making this feel-good banger that was way different from anything we’d written before. We stumbled across the song while having a good time fucking around and cracking each other up. At first, we were reluctant to show anyone because of how different it sounded but eventually thought fuck it and embraced the tuneski!”

And the video continues to embody those good times, with the trio dressed as posties delivering happiness, and tax refunds, everywhere they go, even if that involved getting stuck in a gang fight.

Plus, they throw in some choreographed dance moves for good measure too.

Here’s what they had to say about creating it:

“It took a couple of weeks to learn the ‘UP’ dance in between every rehearsal, sound check and show during our Duniespalooza shows in Brisbane. Then we went straight into a three-day shoot with a nasty four-nights-in-a-row hangover…. Was intense, but more than worth it!”
