Thirty Seconds to Mars Announce 2024 Australian Tour
Jared Leto and his brother Shannon will bring Thirty Seconds to Mars back to Australia in September 2024. They’ll play arena shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane before crossing the Tasman for a show in Auckland. The tour follows the release of Thirty Seconds to Mars’ sixth album, It’s the End of the World but It’s a Beautiful Day, which came out in September 2023.
It will have been more than ten years since the LA band last performed in Australia by the time the tour comes around. It’s the End of the World but It’s a Beautiful Day followed 2018’s America. Thirty Seconds to Mars’ previous Australian tour was in support of their fourth album, 2013’s LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS.
Thirty Seconds to Mars – ‘Stuck’
The band’s new album was preceded by the single ‘Stuck’ in May 2023. Jared Leto directed the song’s music video, which he described as a companion to the video for ‘Up In The Air’ from LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS.
“It is a love letter to the power of movement and connection, a testament to the awe-inspiring potential of people who don’t necessarily fit so neatly in – but make the world so much more fascinating,” Leto said.
The forthcoming tour is named after the new album’s second single, ‘Seasons’. The tour will kick off in March 2024 and visit Latin America, Europe and North America before making it to Australia. In conjunction with the tour announcement, Leto climbed the Empire State Building in New York City. Of course he did.
