Coldplay ‘Music of the Spheres’ 2023 Australian Tour Setlists

Coldplay are playing just two Australian shows as part of their Music of the Spheres world tour, both of which are happening at Optus Stadium in Perth. Thelma Plum will be supporting the British pop band, along with Amy Shark and Adrian Dzvuke on Saturday, 18th November and Tash Sultana and King Ibis on Sunday, 19th.

Coldplay had originally planned to do a one-off show in Perth, but the second show was added following a record-breaking online ticket queue. According to Ten News Perth, there were 300,000 people in the pre-sale queue – a new Australian record. A reported 365,000 people were waiting in the queue the following day, breaking the previous day’s record.

Coldplay – ‘Hymn for the Weekend’

The gigs sold out almost instantly, with punters scooping up a combined total of more than 100,000 tickets for the two shows. Former WA Premier Mark McGowan was somewhat bemused by the enormous ticket demand.

“It appears to be so popular,” McGowan said, as reported by Perth Now. “I had no idea how popular they were but it turns out it’s going to be great for tourism, great for hospitality, great for people coming into WA which is exactly what we wanted,”
