During a televised ITV special ‘An Audience With Adele’, commemorating the release of new album ’30’, her glittering career and homecoming, Adele was reunited with her English teacher.

The emotional moment was prompted by actress Emma Thompson, and Adele, visibily overwhelmed, embraced her former teacher, who in her own words inspired her love of literature.
Last week, Adele released her much-anticipated fourth album ’30’, a record that Clash deemed “a novelistic triumph” and a work of “personal and artistic triumph”.
