Cardi B cashes in on her courtroom success and related memes from her recent appearances, with ‘Courtroom Editions’ of her upcoming album.

Hot on the heels of beating the $24 million assault case filed against her by a former security guard, Cardi B is capitalizing on both her success and the memes her courtroom appearances spawned. She’s using pictures taken of her during her testimony to promote her new album, Am I the Drama?, due for release on September 19.

“I mean look!… BY POPULAR DEMAND, the court room edition of AM I THE DRAMA? is available NOW,” reads the post on Cardi B’s social channels.

The rapper was in court last week after a former security guard sued for an alleged assault in 2018. CourtTV livestreamed her testimony, and fans clipped some of the most interesting moments, which quickly made the rounds on social media.

In one clip, Cardi B showcased her unfiltered attitude with memorable facial expressions as she recounted, “I said, ‘bitch, get the fuck out my face. Why are you in my face? […] Why are you recording me? Ain’t you supposed to be security?’”

In another clip, the rapper was asked by the plaintiff’s attorney if she had called the security guard fat, to which Cardi replied, “No, I was calling her a bitch.”

Once she was found not liable for the attack, Cardi’s team announced special editions of her upcoming album, appropriately called “The Courtroom Edition.” Each version features photos of her viral moments during her court appearances.

Three variations are available as CDs, which fans can preorder for $10 each. A vinyl “Courtroom Edition” is also available for $39.98. Produced by Atlantic Records, Am I the Drama? is Cardi B’s second studio album, following Invasion of Privacy in 2018.

In addition to new tracks like “Imaginary Playerz” and “Outside,” the new album will include previously released singles such as 2020’s “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion, and 2021’s “Up.”
