Breakaway Music Festival gears up to debut their first Alabama edition with headliners The Chainsmokers, Kaskade, Slander, and DJ Diesel (AKA Shaq).
Breakaway Music Festival is debuting their first Breakaway Alabama festival, with 19 national touring acts and five local DJs performing across two nights at The Orion Amphitheater & Apollo Park on October 3 and 4. Two-day general admission, VIP, and Ultimate VIP go on sale this Friday, June 13.
Breakaway Alabama will feature performances by Avello, Brandi Cyrus, DJ Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal), Dr. Fresch, Snakehips, The Chainsmokers, Twinsick, and Will Sass, as well as local DJs 2Checks, Lykwid, MACDIZZY, Mollywater, and Rocco. Bobby Hendrickson of social media’s @DJLoversClub will host.
In addition to stellar lineups, Breakaway aims to elevate the festival experience with The Launch Pad presented by White Claw Surge and a Silent Disco featuring local artists and onsite experiences. Sponsors for Breakaway Alabama include CELSIUS, CELSIUS HYDRATION, White Claw, Señorita, Jose Cuervo: Devil’s Reserve, BeatBox, Cash App, Starry, MCoBeauty, Jimmy John’s, Loose Lucy’s, Hiyo, Geek Bar, Resistol, goodr, Velveeta, and END Overdose. These brand partners will host activations, branded bars, and more engaging opportunities to add to the fan experience.
Earlier this year, Breakaway Music Festival revealed bringing its dynamic mix of music, culture, and community to six new markets, including Dallas, Phoenix, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Huntsville, and soon to be announced in Northern California—totaling 12 festivals. Since its founding, Breakaway has become the fastest-growing independent music brand, selling hundreds of thousands of tickets annually.
Breakaway’s success and upcoming Alabama installment is a breath of fresh air at a time when festivals are getting iced en masse. Morgan Wallen’s Alabama festival, Sand in my Boots, also kicked off last month in Gulf Shores, with appearances from Wallen, Post Malone, Brooks & Dunn, and Hardy. Around 100,000 people attended that festival overall, with an average of 40,000 attendees for each day.
