Australia and New Zealand Shines Brights on Governors Ball 2026 Lineup

Australian and New Zealand artists are set to make a serious impact on the international stage, with a strong showing announced for New York’s Governors Ball 2026.

The iconic US festival has locked in a diverse lineup of Australasian talent, underlining the region’s growing influence on the global live music circuit. Taking place at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens from June 5th–7th, the three-day event will be headlined by Lorde, Stray Kids and A$AP Rocky, each closing out a night of the festival.

Leading the local charge alongside Lorde are Amyl and the Sniffers, who will be joined by fellow Australian favourites Spacey Jane, Confidence Man, Radio Free Alice, and Old Mervs, alongside New Zealand indie staples The Beths. Together, these acts represent a wide spectrum of sounds, from high-energy punk and indie rock, to dance-pop and jangly guitar pop.

They join a stacked, genre-spanning international lineup that also includes Kali Uchis, Baby Keem, Katseye, Pierce the Veil, Mariah the Scientist, the Dare, 2Hollis, Jennie, Wet Leg, Major Lazer, King Princess, Flipturn, Del Water Gap, Ravyn Lenae, Audrey Hobert, Turnover, Geese, Holly Humberstone, Dominic Fike, Absolutely, and more.

Last year’s Governors Ball featured standout headlining performances from Tyler, the Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, and Hozier, plus appearances from Mk.Gee, Role Model, Young Miko, Clairo, Raye, and more.

Governors Ball is one of the United States’ most influential music festivals, known for its genre-spanning lineups and ability to spotlight both global superstars and emerging talent.

First launched in 2011, the New York-based festival has become a key fixture on the international festival circuit, drawing tens of thousands of music fans each year. The event blends hip-hop, pop, rock, indie, and electronic music across multiple stages, often serving as a major entry point for international artists looking to break into the US market.
