Bad Bunny crushes another Spotify record, as his latest album, ‘Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana,’ becomes the most-streamed album in a single day on the platform in 2023.
Bad Bunny was already a powerhouse on Spotify as the most-streamed artist globally on the platform for three years running. But the Puerto Rican sensation continues to smash records, as Spotify announced that his latest album is now the most-streamed album in a single day on the platform in 2023.
His latest project, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, released on Friday the 13th, shortly after the artist’s surprise announcement earlier in the week that a new album was on the way. The 22-track album, whose title translates to “Nobody Knows What is Going to Happen Tomorrow,” is led by the songs debuted earlier in the year, “Where She Goes,” and “Un Preview.”
“We all knew Bad Bunny would break records with this new album,” reads a message posted to Spotify’s social media accounts. “Congrats Benito.”
The latest release is Bunny’s fifth solo studio album, and the follow-up to last year’s phenomenally successful Un Verano Sin Ti. That album spent 13 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart, as well as topping the year-end Billboard 200 and the first Spanish-language album to do so.
At the Billboard Latin Music Awards earlier this month, Benito performed his two newest tracks in a medley along with his hits “Moscow Mule,” “Tití Me Preguntó” “Neverita,” and “Me Porto Bonito.” He also took home seven awards that night, including artist of the year, tour of the year, and Global 200 Latin artist of the year.
Bad Bunny will not only host Saturday Night Live on October 21, but will also serve as the episode’s musical guest, marking the first time the superstar has pulled double duty on the long-running comedy skit show. In a promo for the episode, Bad Bunny faces off against his WWE-fighter alter-ego (also called Bad Bunny) while cast member James Austin Johnson emcees.
