Banda Sinaloense MS de Sergio Lizárraga (Banda MS) visited the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla., just 20 miles away from Miami, with their Positivo tour on Saturday night (Sept. 25).

The three-hour concert kicked off at 9 p.m. with their viral hit “La Casita,” which on TikTok has garnered over 250,000 video creations at the time of publishing.

“It’s been a tough year but we always have to learn how to turn the page,” lead singer Oswaldo “Walo” Silvas told the crowd before singing “Cerrando Ciclos.”

The 17-member band, wearing matching flower-printed black and copper suits with shiny “MS” belt buckles, then performed bangers such as “Mejor Me Alejo,” “Hablame Ti,” “Positivo,” “Tu Postura” and a banda version of Marco Antonio Solis’ hit “Se Va Muriendo Mi Alma.”

In the crowd, the majority of the fans rocking cowboy hats and matching boots, others waving around large Mexican flags, and others sitting at their seats with masks on.

“We want to thank all of the Mexican people who support our music,” vocalist Alan Ramirez said. “But also all of our fans from Central America.”

The Mexican banda, which was founded in 2003 in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, then sang hits likes “Por Mi No Te Detengas,” “El Color de Tus Ojos,” “Mi Hermosa Experiencia,” “A Lo Mejor” and “Por Siempre Mi Amor,” among others.

One of the highlights of the night was when they performed the uptempo “El Mechon” and were joined onstage by an energetic little boy who danced the whole song with the group. Another standout moment followed when they performed a romantic ballad melody of “Que Fuimos,” “Quien Pierde Mas,” “El Color de Tus Ojos” and “No Elegi Conocerte.”

Soon after, the group got the crowd up on their feet for a wave of danceable classics such as “El Sinaloense,” “Piensalo,” “Rinconcito en el Cielo,” “Eslabon por Eslabon,” “Tragos Amargos” and “Somos lo que Somos.”

Banda MS also performed their Snoop Dogg-assisted “Que Maldicion,” which earned both acts their first top 10 debuts on the Hot Latin Songs chart in 2020. Debuting at No. 4, the collaboration became the highest debut for a regional Mexican song since Joan Sebastian’s “Me Gusta” arrived at No. 3 in August 2015.

As the concert came to a close, the entire group switched their outfits to wear matching baseball jerseys from their hometown team Venados de Mazatlán.

They then performed hits like “Ayer La Vi Por La Calle,” “Mi Razon de Ser,” “No Me Pidas Perdon,” “Me Gusta Tu Vieja,” their cover of Vicente Fernandez’s “El Rey,” and “La Casita” one last time.

“For Banda MS, you’re the best thing that’s happened to us,” they told their fans. “We do everything for you. Thank you, Miami. God bless you always!”
