Big Chief Donald Harrison to Host Star-Studded Evening at Town Hall in New York

The prestigious Town Hall stage in New York announced it will witness a convergence of musical brilliance as NEA Jazz Master Big Chief Donald Harrison takes center stage on Thursday, Jan. 11. Harrison, an iconic figure in the jazz scene, will be leading an ensemble that includes a stellar lineup of special guests.

The one-night-only event promises to be a musical journey like no other, as these virtuosos come together to explore the vast realms of multiverse, omniverse, and multi-genre groove-orientated concepts. The Town Hall will be transformed into a sonic playground, where the boundaries of traditional genres will be pushed and redefined.

His ensemble, comprised of some of the most influential and groundbreaking musicians today, is set to deliver an unforgettable performance that transcends the conventional boundaries of jazz.

Among the luminaries sharing the stage with Harrison are bass virtuoso Dave Holland, turntablist DJ Logic, guitar maestro Vernon Reid, trumpeter Charles Tolliver, drummer Joe Dyson, pianist Arturo O’Farrill, trombonist Fred Wesley, and The Headhunters duo, Bill Summers & Mike Clark.
