Big Something will return to Raleigh, N.C.’s Lincoln Theatre from Dec. 30 to Jan. 2 for a four-night New Year’s Eve residency. The Burlington, N.C.-based alternative rock and jam outfit’s home state year-end series has been hotly anticipated as the culmination of a long year on the road and continuation of an annual tradition, which in 2024 brought a fistful of rarities and debut covers of Daft Punk, Tame Impala, The Four Seasons, Steve Earle, Dr. Dog, Ini Kamoze, Prince and more.

As the landmark booking approaches, the band has added to the excitement by announcing a special Big Something Roulette theme for night one. Tomorrow night, Dec. 30, attendees will be treated to an interactive performance where choice and chance will shape the sextet’s sets. Two roulette wheels, affecting the setlist and improvisation, offer 36 distinct possibilities to be combined for an unprecedented and unrepeatable performance. Among the most enticing cues are “Special Guest,” “New Cover,” “Karaoke (Sing w/ Band or Nominate a Friend,” “Switch Instruments,” “Surprise Guest Sit-In,” “Red Light Green Light,” “Poetry Slam,” “Create B-Section” and “Drums and Space.”

After night one, Big Something’s New Year’s Run will feature support from special guests Natalie Brooke, The Hourglass Kids and Sons of Paradise. Find tickets and more information on the series at bigsomething.com.
