Blondie Chaplin Sits in with Los Lobos
On Wednesday night, Los Lobos performed at West Hollywood, CA’s Whisky A Go Go as part of their 50th anniversary tour. During their show, the group welcomed veteran musician Blondie Chaplin to the stage for a take on “Sail on Sailor.” Chaplin, who has also clocked in time with The Rolling Stones and The Band, sang lead on the tune during his tenure with The Beach Boys in the early ’70s. Singers Mark Gutierrez and Martha Gonzalez also joined Los Lobos throughout the night.
Tomorrow Los Lobos will perform at East Los Angeles’ James A. Garfield High School. The founding members of the group met at the school when they were teenagers.
