Bluesfest Adds More Artists to 2024 Lineup: Portugal. The Man, Ziggy Alberts, Snarky Puppy + More

The third artist announcement for the 2024 Byron Bay Bluesfest is here. Alaskan pop rock outfit Portugal. The Man will headline the event’s opening night – Thursday, 28th March – alongside libertarian singer-songwriter Ziggy Alberts, American jazz fusion collective Snarky Puppy, and more.

The latest bundle of acts joins the likes of Jack Johnson (exclusive to Bluesfest), Tom Jones, The Teskey Brothers, Matt Corby, L.A.B, Elvis Costello & The Imposters and Peter Garrett & The Alter Egos on the 2024 Bluesfest lineup, as well as Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Cruel Sea, Tim Finn, Taj Mahal (exclusive to Bluesfest), Ian Moss, Rickie Lee Jones and more.

Portugal. The Man – ‘Feel It Still’

“We are incredibly excited to have Portugal. The Man headlining Thursday night,” Bluesfest director Peter Noble said in a statement. “Ziggy Alberts is also a fan favourite, having played Bluesfest back in 2018 and recently sold out The Green Room here on the Bluesfest site. Ziggy is also playing on the Thursday.”

The latest announcement also includes southern gospel singers The Blind Boys of Alabama, funk-soul rapper and bass player Meshell Ndegeocello, and locals acts Velvet Trip, the Pierce Brothers, ROSHANI, Sweet Talk and more.
