Bon Iver, Aaron Dessner and Gracie Abrams have released “Sold Out,” a new collaborative single raising funds to support Everytown, the nation’s largest gun violence prevention organization. The song, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Bella Blasko, is available exclusively as a digital download on Bandcamp.

“We made this song last year in the wake of a school shooting,” Justin Vernon, Dessner and Abrams shared in a co-authored statement. “We were reminded of it this week as our hearts were broken yet again. It’s a sad one to share during the holidays, but the world is hurting and we shouldn’t look away. We are proud to support Everytown, an organization dedicated to ending gun violence in America. We are releasing this song to raise awareness of their mission of reducing gun violence. Please visit their website for more information on the unbelievable work they do. Sending so much love to you all.”

“Sold Out” continues a long history of collaboration between Vernon and Dessner, who began working together as Big Red Machine in 2008 and released their celebrated self-titled album in 2018, followed by the sophomore offering How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last? in 2021. Dessner has been a close songwriting and production partner for Abrams since her 2023 debut, Good Riddance, but the new track marks the first formal collaboration between Vernon and Abrams.
