Bootleg Rascal Drop Soulful New Indie-Rock Single ‘Steppin’

Yugambeh/Gold Coast-based party starters Bootleg Rascal have unleashed a new indie-rock jam to soundtrack the announcement of their latest international tour.

Dubbed ‘Steppin’, Booty’s soulful new single was produced by Caleb Tasker (Rum Jungle, The Terrys), with lyrics that explore the emotional tug-of-war between self-reproach and perseverance.

“‘Steppin’ is a raw and emotive cut that dives deep into themes of isolation, inner struggle, and resilience,” the band explains in a press statement.

“It captures the feeling of being stuck in a cycle of self-blame and disconnection, while still holding onto a fierce sense of survival. Through the lyrics, the song reflects the battle between wanting to give up and finding the strength to endure, offering an honest portrayal of pain, anger, and the human instinct to keep moving forward even in the darkest moments.”
