boygenius Slated as Next ‘Saturday Night Live’ Musical Guest

Today, Saturday Night Live announced supergroup boygenius will serve as the musical guest alongside guest host Timothée Chalamet on Nov. 11.

The appearance will mark the band’s debut on the show; however, boygenius’ Phoebe Bridgers iconically smashed her guitar on the Studio 8H stage while performing “I Know The End” in 2021 while showcasing her studio LP Punisher. 

The trio, rounded out by  Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker, recently released their first full album the record, in March, as well as a shorter EP called the rest this past month. boygenius recently made a TV appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Oct. 13, where they performed their song “Cool About It” off of the record.

Because of the Writer’s Guild of America strikes, SNL got a later start to their season after the strikes postponed production from May to mid-September. So far, the show, in its 49th season, has hosted Bad Bunny, Ice Spice, Foo Fighters and more.
