Released Friday (Aug. 8), this remix is a dream come true for longtime fans who have admired the enduring magic of Baute and Sánchez’s 2008 hit. At its heart, the remix moves the song into the realm of Afro house, the musical style that has been dominating the Ibiza club scene and global electronic festivals alike.

“Reimagining ‘Colgando en Tus Manos’ was both an honor and a delicate responsibility,” AtellaGali tells Billboard Español. “We knew we were working with a song that had already made history, so our goal wasn’t to compete with the original, but to celebrate it in a new sonic context. We re-recorded Baute’s vocals to give the remix its own identity while preserving the soul of the original performance.”

They add, “At its core, this song is a declaration of love, and in a time where the world feels divided, we felt it was powerful to bring back a message that reminds us what truly matters: connection, passion and love.”

Baute himself expressed why this new interpretation feels so special for him and his fans. “I hope with this remix is that people can feel again what they felt the first time they heard the song. Because in the end, that’s what songs are for — to connect. And this one already connected with everyone … it no longer belongs to me, this song belongs to all of you, to the whole world,” the Venezuelan singer-songwriter tells Billbaord Español.

The addition of Marta Sánchez’s sparkling vocals elevates the remix even further.
