Cassie Ventura Gives Birth to Baby No. 3 With Husband Alex Fine Shortly After Testifying in Diddy’s Trial

Cassie Ventura is now a mother of three, with the singer welcoming a baby boy with husband Alex Fine just a couple weeks after her testimony at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial, as reported first by TMZ and confirmed by People and ABC News.
Billboard has reached out to her reps.
The new arrival comes about six years after Ventura married the personal trainer, whom she met after breaking off her 12-year relationship with the disgraced Bad Boy Records founder. She and Fine also share daughters Frankie and Sunny, who are 5 and 3 years old, respectively.
The couple first revealed that they were expecting again in February, with Ventura sharing black-and-white photos on Instagram with her husband and daughters that showed off her baby bump. The musician would later spend some of the final weeks of her third trimester testifying against Combs in his ongoing criminal trial, which comes about a year and a half after she first filed her now-settled lawsuit against the mogul accusing him of domestic violence and sexual assault; the move ended up sparking a flood of additional suits from others who claimed he abused them and setting into motion the criminal probe that led to his indictment.
Combs now stands accused of sex trafficking and racketeering, allegations his attorneys have repeatedly denied. During opening statements on May 12, his attorney asserted, “Sean Combs is a complicated man, but this is not a complicated case. We take full responsibility that there was domestic violence. Domestic violence is not sex trafficking.”
Over the next four days, however, Ventura would share horrifying details of how Combs allegedly physically abused her and forced her to participate in his so-called “freak-offs,” drug-fueled sex parties that left her feeling “humiliated” and “horrible about myself.” “Sean controlled a lot of my life, whether it was my career, the way I dressed — everything,” she said on the stand May 13. “I just didn’t have much say in it at the time.”
Following more testimony and cross-examination, Ventura’s part in the trial is now over. In a recent statement via her attorney, she said that the experience was “extremely challenging, but also remarkably empowering and healing for me.”
“I hope that my testimony has given strength and a voice to other survivors, and can help others who have suffered to speak up and also heal from abuse and fear,” she continued. “For me, the more I heal, the more I can remember. And the more I can remember, the more I will never forget.”
Fine also shared words praising his wife for her strength. “I have felt tremendous pride and overwhelming love for Cass,” he said in a statement of his own. “I have felt profound anger that she has been subjected to sitting in front of a person who tried to break her. You did not break her spirit nor her smile.”
