The Circuit Group and Create Music Group have launched a $500 million fund, Circuit Capital, that will pursue investments in catalogs, labels, publishers, and different “music-driven ventures” yet.
The self-described “artist management collective” Circuit Group reached out with details about the debuting division today. Though specifics concerning the fund’s strategy and IP ownership remain to be seen, the involved parties did emphasize a goal of “prioritizing long-term sustainable value while keeping artistry and community at the forefront.”
Like the overarching Circuit Group, Circuit Capital intends to focus on electronic music plays. Additionally, a portion of the $500 million tranche will bankroll Circuit-managed artists’ “back catalogue investments and futures funding deals,” per execs.
These points don’t exactly come as a surprise; Ayita and Seven20 established Circuit Group back in October 2023 with longtime Deadmau5 manager Dean Wilson aboard as CEO. More recently, Circuit Group itself confirmed several electronic catalog acquisitions in September before its Red Wire Publishing unit set sail in October.
As for where Create Music fits into the picture, the company’s been on an electronic-catalog buyout tear in 2025 – including a March deal for Deadmau5’s 4,000-track body of work and the April purchase of !K7.
All that said, the sizable funding commitment is significant given the massive sums still pouring into song rights – as well as electronic and dance music in particular.
As compiled by DMN Pro’s Music IP Acquisition Tracker, Armada Music’s BEAT Music Fund has been firing off investments for some time, including the September purchase of Mixmash Records’ “entire master catalog.”
Also in September, CTM Outlander scooped up Yellow Claw’s publishing catalog. And just moments prior to this piece’s publication, Dynamite Songs told DMN it’d acquired the publishing and recorded rights behind Tieks’ and Dan Harkna’s “Sunshine.”
Back to Circuit Capital, according to higher-ups, the fund will leverage Create’s capital and infrastructure, Circuit’s electronic presence, and extensive music-world knowledge to stand out from the catalog crowd.
“Our mission is to put culture at the center of everything we do,” elaborated Circuit Group co-founder and business development president Harvey Tadman. “Too often, the people buying into music don’t understand the world it comes from.
“We’ve built our careers inside this culture. Circuit Capital is our way of ensuring that when artists decide to sell or scale, they can do it with people who speak the same language and share the same values. We couldn’t imagine a better partner than Create Music Group,” he finished.
In remarks of his own, Create Music co-founder and CEO Jonathan Strauss, whose business has a 50% stake in Enhanced Music, described Circuit as “one of the most respected and trusted management teams in the dance space.”
“Our partnership with The Circuit Group represents Create’s continued mission in building the leading technology, infrastructure, and capital platform for artists and entrepreneurs,” Strauss said.
“Circuit has evolved into one of the most respected and trusted management teams in the dance space, with a deep understanding of what artists need to grow, innovate, and create long-term value. Together with Circuit, we’re aligning resources, expertise, and vision to empower music entrepreneurs to build enduring, global businesses,” the exec concluded.
