Conan Parts Ways With Bass Player Chris Fielding
British doom metal outfit Conan has announced that after ten years, they have parted company with bass player Chris Fielding. A statement from the band reads as follows:
“Nothing lasts forever…..
“It is with sadness that we announce the imminent departure of Chris Fielding from Conan.
“Chris joined the band late 2013, as a replacement for Phil Coumbe, and established himself as a very important member both in his role as performer and also as producer. Together we have enjoyed many enjoyable trips and experiences and created music that we are very proud of. We have become close friends during that time and so of course we support Chris’s wish to focus on other areas of his life. He will of course remain as our producer.
“Chris’s last shows with Conan will come during our upcoming UK tour in March 2024. Make sure you come along and say goodbye.
“We have appointed Chris’s successor and will make an announcement on that in due course.
“Hail Conan.”
