Devon Street are the latest addition to the Tone City Records roster.

The Boorloo/Perth-based rock act sign with Tone City for management and recordings, The Music Network can exclusively reveal.

“Tone City Records is committed to supporting and developing exceptional young artists that we believe in,” comments Sam Ford, founder and director of Tone City Records.

“With a focus on taking Australia’s most exciting new talent to the rest of the world. Devon Street is the latest edition to this, we f*cking love this band.”

Devon Street formed in 2023, and is led by brothers Asher and London Milne, alongside bass player Brody Smyth and drummer Draven Clarke.

Since then, the foursome have released a debut EP, Need Me Now, toured across Western Australia, and shared the stage with such artists as DICE, Dear Sunday, South Summit, and Letters to Lions.

To celebrate their new deal, Devon Street will release “Charis (Dream)” on Thursday, August 14th. Produced and mixed by Tone City’s Ford, “Charis (Dream)” is a blend of dreaming indie rock, and a tribute to the Milne brothers’ cousin, whose life was lost to addiction.

“We are so excited and honoured to be joining the TCR family,” reads a message from Devon Street. “Sam and the team have always seen something in us, and we can’t wait to see what the future will bring together.”

Tone City’s Ford is a Perth scene builder and producer who has worked with the likes of Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Birds of Tokyo, and POND. He launched TCR in 2022 as an extension to his Tone City Recording Studio, a label “dedicated to showcasing new music from Western Australia and beyond.”

Tone City manage DICE amongst other acts.

“Charis (Dream)” is the first taste of Devon Street’s second EP, recording for which is underway. A national tour is penciled in for later this year, and will see the band perform their debut East Coast dates.
