Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, has detailed some of the hip-hop mogul’s ambitions post-release—including a return to the stage at Madison Square Garden.

Combs was found guilty in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution under the federal Mann Act. However, he was acquitted of the more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. The trial concluded with prosecutors seeking a significant prison term for the Bad Boy mogul, potentially up to 20 years. A public sentencing hearing is scheduled for October 3.

Despite remaining behind bars until then, Diddy’s lawyer has discussed his post-release goals in recent interviews. In an interview with CBS Mornings, Agnifilo stated: “He’s going to be back at Madison Square Garden, and I said I’ll be there. He wants to get out of jail, have a loving and present relationship with all seven children.” When pressed about whether Diddy was considering recording new music, his lawyer responded: “Honestly, he has.”

There are currently no confirmed details regarding the timing or production specifics of a potential MSG show, since Combs remains in custody. But his priorities as highlighted by his legal team remain to reunite with his mother and his children afterward. A ‘comeback performance’ as highlighted by his lawyer remains a future goal, something to highlight his intent to reforge his public reputation following the high-profile sex trafficking case.

As for the public’s reception and industry response, much remains uncertain. Prosecutors continue to oppose bail, citing the risk of flight ahead of sentencing. Legal teams working for Diddy are also actively seeking to overturn the verdict or request a new trial on the prostitution-related convictions.

So while no ‘comeback show’ is actively planned for the rap mogul, the hub-bub around a public performance should his sentence be lighter than expected is already starting.
