Drain The ‘Swamp’: Doechii Plots Fall Headline Tour

Fresh off a massive performance yesterday (Aug. 3) at Lollapalooza in Chicago, Doechii has revealed plans for her Live From the Swamp tour this fall. The 12-date headlining outing will kick off Oct. 14 at the Windy City’s Aragon Ballroom and wrap Nov. 10 in Seattle. Its name is inspired by themes and imagery from the artist’s breakout 2024 album, Alligator Bites Don’t Heal.

Doechii will encircle the Swamp dates with appearances at the All Things Go and Austin City Limits festivals and will then make her maiden visits to Australia starting Dec. 6 at the Spilt Milk festival in Ballarat, about 70 miles northwest of Melbourne.

The Tampa native, whose real name is, Jaylah Hickmon) became the first female emcee on Top Dawg Entertainment in 2022 and has steadily risen in visibility ever since. In an early interview with SPIN, she affirmed, “now I know for a fact that my creativity is limitless, I’ll never run out of ideas, and I will forever be creative as long as I am alive and experiencing God. I have a beautiful family, I’m healthy, I know who I am [and] I know what God is to me. I’m at peace.”
