Dry Cleaning have shared their new song ‘Sit Down Meal’ – tune in now.
The band’s exploratory take on post-punk hinges on the minutae of human interaction, often resulting in something startling and highly revealing.
2019’s debut ‘Sweet Princess’ was followed by some intense live shows, with their second EP ‘Boundary Road Snacks And Drinks’ incoming.
In addition to this, both EPs will be compiled on a full 12 inch vinyl release – that one drops on October 25th.
New track ‘Sit Down Meal’ is online now, and it’s about the absence of communication, how the bonds between people can snap with nothing left in their place.
Jagged guitars flail around the vocal, with Florence Shaw commenting:
“It’s set at the moment just after being suddenly dumped. You cling to details, things you did together and reel at their significance. If you smell their perfume on someone else you feel overwhelmed, but immediately and painfully aware of how lightning quick a relationship can evaporate into thin air.”
Tune in now.
