Ed Sheeran Debuts New Album Tracks on TikTok Live as In-App Album Hub Launches

Ed Sheeran’s TikTok Live performance on Saturday night at Domino Park in Brooklyn marked the release of his new album, Play. The set featured performances of new tracks and news of an upcoming US stadium tour.

To mark the release of his latest album, Play, Ed Sheeran returned to TikTok Live with a dazzling performance at Domino Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The intimate waterfront show was attended by hundreds of Sheeran’s superfans and was broadcast globally to millions via TikTok Live.

The 60-minute set, hosted by Jack Coyne of Trackstar, featured never-before-performed songs from the new album, including “Symmetry,” “The Vow,” and “Slowly.” Sheeran closed out the show with a surprise announcement of an upcoming U.S. stadium tour.

Fan enthusiasm was strong in Brooklyn and via comments on the broadcast, underlining Sheeran’s continued global appeal and livestreaming’s ability to connect artists with fans in real time. Fans who missed the live performance can catch the rebroadcast as of Sunday, September 14.

The album’s lead single, “Sapphire,” has already inspired over 3.5 million creations on TikTok, further highlighting the platform’s appeal for fans—a million-plus of whom tuned in to watch the TikTok Live performance over the weekend.
