Foxygen Reunite for Surprise Set, First Time Since 2018

Last night, Dec. 19, Foxygen reunited for a surprise set at Los Angeles’ Zebulon venue. The event occurred during Jonathan Rado’s album release show for his latest solo set, For Who The Bell Tolls For–which dropped on Dec. 1. 

The occasion marked the first time Rado and the Foxygen’s other half, Sam France, had played together since 2018. Notable, the pair delivered Seeing Other People in 2019, although they did not back the set with accompanying tour dates. 

During the Tuesday night reunion, Rado and France were backed by the Lemon Twigs. In a clip shared via YouTube, the members of Foxygen and their guests landed on “How Could You Really,” from their 2014 album …And Star Power.

Also included was a run-through of the We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic cut, “In The Darkness,” a feature of the band’s commercially successful 2013 set, which was produced by the late Richard Swift.
