Friday’s Benefit Concert and Silent Auction for Businesses Affected by Caribou Village Fire in Colorado to Feature Members of String Cheese Incident, The Motet and More 

On Friday, November 21, members of the String Cheese Incident will participate in a charity concert, dubbed Benefit for the Village. The event will offer five hours of music, along with a silent auction to raise funds for those affected by the Caribou Village Shopping Center Fire in Nederland, Colo., a central hub for the local community that suffered complete structural loss of more than 15 businesses in a blaze that happened last month. 

Benefit for the Village will feature musical performances by Centennial State talents, including members of the String Cheese Incident, Bill Nershi and Keith Moseley, who will perform as a trio with The Motet’s longtime backbeat, Dave Watts. Also on the docket to perform are the husband-and-wife duo, Bill and Jilian Nershi. Other folks on the bill include Dango Rose, Danny Musengo, Ryan Benthall, Tierro Band Trio with Bridget Law, and Flash Mountain Flood. 

Beyond the musical angel of the charity event, funds for businesses affected by the fires will also be raised through the launch of a silent auction, which features a variety of goods and services, in order to give back to the community. 

According to a report published by Boulder County, the Caribou Village Shopping Center Fire resulted in the complete structural loss of: Nederland Chiropractic & Wellness, Tres Gringos Restaurant, Spinning Silica, O’Neil Rocky Mountain Art, Kaleidoscope Gallery, Linda’s Pizza, Dam Liquor, Tadasana Yoga Studio, Mountain Man Outdoor Store, Very Nice Brewing Co., Columbine Family Care, The Laundry Room, Austina’s Winery, Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Substation, The Shop, Wild Bear Nature Center, Brightwood Music, and Picaso Hair Artistry.

String Cheese Incident and its members have long supported their great state of Colorado when the call comes. In the wake of regional loss, the group has once again stepped up and shown tenderness toward its community. Tickets for Friday’s benefit concert and silent auction can be purchased here.
