Gloria Estefan’s Husband Threatens Litigation Over Diddy ‘Freak-Off’ Allegations

Gloria Estefan’s husband Emilio threatened to sue a Diddy accuser over allegations related to a so-called “freak-off” party in Miami.

Emilio Estefan, husband of singer Gloria Estefan, has threatened to sue one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ accusers over allegations related to a party at Diddy’s Miami property. The accusations involve a 2015 incident in which a man claims he was transported via a tunnel under the Estefans’ home to Diddy’s adjacent property, where he says he was sexually assaulted.

In April, Joseph Manzaro filed a lawsuit alleging he was transported against his will via a tunnel under Estefan’s property to Diddy’s neighboring property. There, he says he was subjected to “degrading and non-consensual acts.” His suit initially named Emilio Estefan as a defendant, based on allegations that the Estefans were aware of people being transported through their property.

According to Manzaro, Gloria Estefan saw him “in a bad state” and wanted to call an ambulance, but Emilio pulled his wife away from the scene. On July 24, the court dismissed all allegations against Emilio but permitted Manzaro extra time to amend his lawsuit.

“They’re going to have some explaining to do,” said Gloria in a statement to TMZ. “It’s just fantasy,” she added, explaining that she and her husband had “nothing to do” with the allegations against Combs. She alleges their names were included simply because they lived near the disgraced mogul in Miami.

Emilio Estefan notes inconsistencies in Manzaro’s story, such as claims that Jay-Z and Beyoncé were present, when the superstar couple were removed from the lawsuit in April after their attorneys offered documentation proving they were not in Miami at the time.

“We were not in Miami [either],” said Emilio. “We were here in New York.”

Further, Emilio says constructing a tunnel on the property wouldn’t be possible due to an aquifer running beneath the neighborhood.

“We’re going to have to [file] a lawsuit against them because we work hard to develop a reputation for many years,” said Emilio. “We have a family, and it hurts the kids sometimes, what they hear.”

On August 5, Gloria Estefan wrote a statement to the court vehemently denying her husband had any role in the alleged incident. She claims a family member and his young child lived on the property from 2012 to 2019, and that strangers would not have been able to pass through the property at night without her being notified.

Further, Diddy’s attorneys denied the allegations, as they have done with the numerous other lawsuits filed against Combs. “This complaint demonstrates the depraved lengths plaintiffs will travel to garner headlines in pursuit of a payday.”

The news about Manzaro’s lawsuit comes on the heels of Diddy’s federal trial in New York City, where he was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering in July. He was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, and his sentencing is scheduled for early October.
