Goom Gum, Argy collide on Afterlife’s first release of 2023, ‘Pantheon’

Just weeks after being named Dancing Astronaut’s 2022 Label of the Year, Afterlife is beginning its defense of that and reaffirming why it is debatably the most in-demand label in all of dance music. To start its 2023 campaign, Afterlife has dipped into its ID bag for one of its most-anticipated releases. Argy—the name behind “Tataki” and “Tibet” with ARTBAT—has joined forces with Dancing Astronaut Artist to Watch in 2023 Goom Gum for “Pantheon.”
First premiered at The Brooklyn Mirage and reintroduced on an international stage during Tale Of Us‘ Afterlife event at Printworks London, “Pantheon” begun circulating on social media and instantly turned into a must-have original. And the videos of “Pantheon” paint just a small picture of the vocal-driven hit at large. Employing skulls for the visuals, “Pantheon” puts a darker and mysterious twist on melodic-techno sets, diving into heavy, synth-led progressions that build into what seem to be a never-ending climax.
