Goose Respond to Providence’s Brown University Shooting, Launch Charity Auction to Help Victims

Last weekend, Goose hosted its elaborate holiday concerts at Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, R.I. The annual December event known as Goosemas came to an official close after its final staging on Saturday, the same day as the Brown University shooting, where two students were killed, and nine were injured when a gunman entered the campus’ School of Engineering. In response to the tragic events, which occurred less than two miles from the concert venue, Goose has launched a series of charity pushes to raise financial support for the victims and their families. 

In a post outlining their intended giveback, Goose began, “We are deeply saddened by the events that occurred at Brown University this past weekend. Our hearts are with the victims and their families, the Brown University students, and the greater Providence community that so graciously welcomed us into their home.”

“A special ‘Love Brown’ variation of our event T-shirt is now available for pre-order on our webstore, along with a limited amount of leftover event merchandise from the weekend. 100% of proceeds from all merchandise sales will benefit the GoFundMes established to support the victims and their families,” they conveyed. 

In addition to the aforementioned charity T-shirt and remaining merchandise benefiting the victims, Goose also announced its intention to launch an auction featuring an array of one-of-a-kind items from Goosemas. The auction is currently live and will run through Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 6 p.m. EST. 

“All auction proceeds will benefit the Brown University Student Emergency Fund, which provides immediate financial assistance to students impacted by crisis, displacement, or sudden loss. These funds help cover essential needs such as housing, food, travel, and other urgent expenses—ensuring students can remain safe, supported, and focused on their education during a difficult time.”
