Grateful Shred have announced plans to “head north.” The Los Angeles ensemble, known for their full-tilt covers of the Dead’s original material and associated covers, will set off on a nine-stop jaunt, beginning on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in Chico, Calif. The band’s impending live appearances succeed the release of the band’s debut record, Might as Well, released in June.

The band, comprised of Austin McCutchen (vocals and guitar), Dan Horne (bass, pedal steel, vocals), Mikaela Davis (vocals), Adam MacDougall (keys and vocals), John Lee Shannon (guitar), and newcomer Corey Rose (drums), will continue their quest with an ensuing live show on Friday, Jan. 30 at Felton Music Hall in Felton, Calif., followed by a gig the next evening, Jan. 31 at the Crystal Bay Casino in Crystal Bay, Nev.

Sunday, Feb. 1, will find the band in Humboldt County, specifically, on the Arcata Theatre stage in Arcata, Calif., before an extensive voyage up the coast takes them to the Wild Buffalo in Bellingham, Wash., on Tuesday, Feb. 3. Via ferry, bus or train, they’ll deliver songs at Wicket Hall in Victoria, B.C., on Feb. 4, followed by an evening in Vancouver, B.C., at The Pearl the next night.

The band’s Northwest tour will come to a close after submitting their final performances, slated for Seattle’s The Showbox on Friday, Feb. 6, and Portland, Ore’s Revolution Hall. For tickets and additional information, visit www.gratefulshredmusic.com/tour
