Back in March, Gregory McLoughlin celebrated the 250th episode of his TGIM livestream on YouTube. At that time he released a new single “Indian Summer” with the promise of more to come later in the year. This will come to fruition on December 12 with the release of McLoughlin’s self-titled debut record.

The bass player, who first gained renown with the band BuzzUniverse initially set his set his sights on a solo career just prior to COVID, which is what prompted his Monday livestreams. As Relix noted, “In recent years, McLoughlin has truly found his artistic voice, thanks to his weekly livestreams, which feature a mix of originals and covers ranging from Phish to Fred Astaire. He also had some viral success with his song ‘Lemonade,’ which has thematically resonated with his audience in recent years.” McLoughlin himself then added, relative to the response he’s received via the TGIM community, “Knowing that words I have written have had an effect on people has made me so much more excited to create more.”

McLoughlin recently shared “Businessman,” the initial single from his forthcoming record. The song will likely make the setlist when he takes the stage on Saturday, December 13 to celebrate the release of Gregory McLoughlin. This show will be part of the “Get The Led Out” Pre-Show & Afterparty, which kicks off at 6:45pm.
