What makes bad audio?

Bad audio can be caused by several factors such as:

    1. Low Quality Equipment: Using low-quality microphones, speakers, or headphones can result in poor audio quality. These devices may not be able to capture or produce sounds accurately, leading to distorted or unclear audio.

    2. Incorrect settings: Microphone gain levels that are too low or too high, incorrect EQ settings, and improper use of other audio effects can all lead to bad audio.

    3. Bad Room Acoustics: Rooms with hard surfaces reflect sound waves, causing echo and reverberation. This can make it difficult to hear clearly, especially when recording voice-over or podcasts.

    4. Noise: Background noise from traffic, air conditioning, or other sources can interfere with the audio. This is particularly problematic in home studios where there may be less control over ambient noise.

    5. Lack of Monitor
